Continuing on Dhahran Ahliyya’s students’ annual successful path in this competition, Abdul Jabbar Al Hamood won the 1st Grand Award in the field of Plant Sciences for his research project “ Viral Mediated Genome Editing Using CRISRR/Cos9 System”. Abdul Jabbar also won the Best of Category Award in the field. Furthermore, he received a Special Award to attend Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar (SIYSS) which will take place in Sweden. The SIYSS is a multi-disciplinary seminar highlighting some of the most remarkable achievements by young scientists from around the world. The students have the opportunity to attend the Nobel lectures and experience the Nobel festivities. It is worth indicating that only 3 students worldwide were awarded this special award.

We are proud of Abdul Jabbar’s winnings, our students’ successes in this competition annually and of all the achievements the Saudi delegates have accomplished for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are confident that those students will make a positive contribution to the development of our beloved Kingdom.
