  • New Achievement for the Robotics Team

    Dhahran Ahliyya Schools participated in the First Lego League which was held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Scitech Center. Our team competed with 14 other teams at the level of Eastern Province. DAS team won the prize of (FLL Core Value). Consequently, the DAS team qualified to be one of the teams nominated to compete in the world wide competition in Korea after a competition in Jeddah and another one in Riyadh . The team members are; Basheer Al Deejani, Abdullah Al Sinan, Reda Al Qudaihy, Faisal Al Omran and Eyad Al Qatari. A thank you note is extended to Mr. Aziz Nada, Math and Science Supervisor and to the team coaches Mr. Amro Salah, Mr. Haitham Rabhi, Mrs. Abdullah Al Sayed, Mr. Fayeq Al Qadri, Mr. Motasem Barakat, Mr. Abdulqader Eid and Mr. Amro Al Sayed. Also, we would like thank Mr. Abdulmohsin Batyour together with member of the Business Office and Activities Department for their effort and continuous follow up. Congratulations to our students, and we wish them more success.
  • Zahra Al Jishi Joins the Science Students at King Abdullah Center King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC)

    Zahra Al Jishi, grade 7 DAS student, passed the 3rd session exam for “Mawhoob” Competition of the National Science Olympiad organized by King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (MAWHIBA). The session took place from November 26 – December 2, 2016 at Al Hassan Ahliyya School. On a happy note, Zahra qualified to attend the 2017 Winter Forum. She will joins her peers at King Abdullah Center King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh from January 26 – February 4, 2017. Congratulations.
  • Three DAS Students Join “Aramco Program for Science and Technology” in Cooperation with MAWHIBA

    As part of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity programs (MAWHIBA), 3 DAS students (Grade 8) joined the “STEM Program” in cooperation with the Aramco Program for Science and Technology from October 25-December 9, 2016. The students who joined are:Jana Ahmed Al Dakhil, Basma Abdullah Al Fayez and Hajer Hisham Al Jaafari This program included scientific, technical engineering and mathematical fields which developed the abilities of the talented students within the Eastern province. The students gained a variety of skills such as thinking out of the box, generating new ideas, curiosity and ambition. The program culminated with a ceremony supervised by Mrs. Ibtisam Al Mazainy, Director of Gifted Students Administration in the Province. Basma Al Fayez and Hajer Al Jaafari created a 3D-model of a ship that operates with recycled engine created from a variety of children’s toys. Additionally, Jana Dakhil created a car using recycled wood, fan and an engine from children’s toys.

    We are proud to announce that DAS students in the Girls’ Section won the Top Placements in the Qiyas General Aptitude (Qudarat) and Tahseeli Tests for 3 consecutive years among all the government and private schools Kingdom-wide for the year 2015/2016 as follows: - First Place Kingdom wide in the General Aptitude Tests (Qudarat) Muqrarrat stream (Elmy and Adabi) - Third Place Kingdom wide in the General Aptitude Tests (Qudarat) American Diploma stream - First Place Kingdom wide in the Tahseeli Tests Muqrarrat stream (Elmy) Thank you to all DAS teachers, administration staff and parents for their sincere efforts in supporting the students. Congratulations.
  • 83% of DAS Students Qualify on the Level of Eastern Province in the Math Olympiad

    After performing the second session test in which 8 DAS students from Upper Elementary and Intermediate successfully passed and represented Dhahran Ahliyya Schools, those 8 students joined an extensive Mathematics training workshop from Saturday-Tuesday, December 17-20, 2016. After that, all the province-wide qualified students performed the Third Session Exam on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016. On a happy note, 5 DAS students successfully passed this test. These five student qualified to join 2017 Kingdom-Wide Winter Forum. It is worth mentioning that DAS students represent 83% of all the students qualified for the competition on the level of the Eastern province. The students are: Grade 6 Reem Al Ashban Sadeem Al Nahdi Heba Al Nawab Grade 7 Leen BuSaleh Suha Al Nahdi Wishing our students the best of luck.
  • The Leadership Program from Harvard

    Joury Al Mubarak and Alghalia Al Khalifa join a Leadership Program from Harvard Joury Al Mubarak and Alghalia Al Khalifa, grade 11 DAS Diploma students, joined a seven-week summer school program at Harvard University, Boston, USA. Joury and Alghalia learned to develop their personal skills throughout the power of knowledge and the rich experience. During their visit, both students completed some AP university subjects including philosophy, political philosophy, speech, law and psychology supervised by the instructors from the biggest and most prestigious university worldwide. They also visited MIT, Boston College, BCG and Science Museum. Joury and Alghalia contributed in volunteering projects during their stay. After they came back, both students had a meeting with Mr. Mohammed Al Essa, the Minister of Education in Saudi Arabia. He talked about the development of education in Saudi and how to study and live abroad. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Mohammed Al Essa honored the students. This meeting was attended representatives from MISK Foundation and sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud. It is worth mentioning that this Leadership Program was offered to 100 male and female students.
