Abdullah A. Ghabbani is the Director of the Local Workforce Development Department in Saudi Aramco. His responsibilities include the development of specialized vocational training academies to support the Saudi Arabia major energy sector companies needs of qualified Saudi nationals. 

Currently his organization oversees a total of 11 specialized academies, with a total capacity of more than 10,000 students covering the market needs for construction, downstream, quality, drilling, and other majors. In addition, Abdullah’s organization is the Champion of Saudi Aramco Saudization KPIs for service and construction contractors.

Abdullah earned his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, and holds more than 30 years’ experience in Saudi Aramco. His career started with Yanbu Refinery maintenance organization, followed with long experience in several leadership positions, including Loss Prevention and Fire and Technical Security. In 2011, Abdullah was assigned as the Manager of Saudi Aramco Central Community Services Department, managing one of the largest housing and community operations in the Kingdom. Throughout Abdullah’s career he has covered as the Director of Saudi Aramco Industrial Training Department. 
Abdullah is the General Secretary of the Energy Sector Training Board and serves as a member on several training academies Board of Trustees Committees.
