Advisory Board Members

The Advisory Board of Dhahran Ahliyya Schools is a group of dedicated volunteer members of the Eastern Province community. The Advisory Board works at a strategic level to provide advice, support and stability for the continuous operation and development of the school. Their combined talents are focused on developing and monitoring the long and short range strategic plans of the school. It works closely with the founders of the school Mr. Khalid Alturki and Dr. Sally Alturki to ensure that  

“Each year we will be better than we were the year before.”

Mr. Khalid Ali Alturki is the Founder and Chairman of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons (Alturki) which is a leading family owned investment and development company that was established in Saudi Arabia in 1975. Its subsidiaries and joint venture companies are involved in contracting, trading, manufacturing and consulting focused specifically on the construction & infrastructure, building materials, real-estate, oil field services & renewable energy, environmental, Information and Telecommunication Technologies and general industrial sectors primarily in Saudi Arabia and neighboring Arab countries. Mr. Alturki also invests globally through his offices in the UK andIndia.

abdullaAbdullah A. Ghabbani

Abdullah A. Ghabbani is the Director of the Local Workforce Development Department in Saudi Aramco. His responsibilities include the development of specialized vocational training academies to support the Saudi Arabia major energy sector companies needs of qualified Saudi nationals. Currently his organization overseeing a total of 11 specialized academies, with a total capacity of more than 10,000 students covering the market needs for construction, downstream, quality, drilling and other majors. In addition, Abdullah’s organization is the Champion of Saudi Aramco Saudization KPIs for service and construction contractors.

AbdulrahmanAbdulrahman AlMesned

Department overseeing the strategic design and scoping of Human Capital Management automation and digitalization for various business end-to-end solutions that provides for proponent organizations' operational effectiveness and better customer' engagement and productivity. He maintains multi-disciplinary solutions platforms that optimizes the hire-to-retire value chain processes which includes Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Organization Effectiveness, and Talent Retention. Platforms spans complex multi-disciplinary software support such as SAP, Web, and cloud solutions.

Kathy Khayatt

Kathy Khayatt is an accomplished educator and worked in schools since 1989 and is now K-12 principal at Advanced Learning Schools in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. She serves as a team leader on CIS accreditation visits and also as a team leader and consultant for the IB Middle Years Programme. Kathy provides independentconsultation work for schools in the region in the areas of curriculum development, differentiation, and assessment.

majedMajid F. Al-Ghaslan

Majid F. Al-Ghaslan is a recognized technology and thought leader within Saudi Aramco and Saudi Arabia. Majid has extensive experience leading high-visibility, mission-critical areas for notable organizations within the Technology, Oil & Gas, and Higher Education industries. He was a founding member of the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) and served as interim CIO responsible for the development, support, and operation of innovative technology solutions and services that advance learning and discovery at KAUST.

naderNader  AL Douhan

Mr. Nader Douhan Al Douhan is the Manager of Home Ownership Community Development Department in Saudi Aramco. His responsibility includes overseeing the development of Saudi Aramco’s mega home ownership programs from inception to completion. Mr. Al Douhans’s role extends to managing the operation, maintenance, and projects of Saudi Aramco’s 141 built schools, including Dhahran Ahliyya Schools. Mr. Al Douhan earned his BSc in Petroleum Engineering from University of Tulsa and holds 20 years of experience in Saudi Aramco's upstream sector.

RanaAlTurkiRana AlTurki

Mrs. Rana AlTurki is the Facility Manager in Rawabi Holding since March 2018. She first joined the Rawabi Holding Group in 2009 as General Manager of Gymboree Play and Learn franchise for GCC and Jordan. Mrs. AlTurki has a lengthy experience in the retail industry. She was the owner and creator of Casa Blu Café in Bahrain between 2000 and 2010 and the owner of La Premier, an exclusive women's dress designers and makers fashion line, between 2006 and 2012. Mrs. AlTurki holds a BA in International Relations and Education from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the first Female to sit on the International Schools Group Board of Trustees from 2008 until 2016. She is a member of different charities and organizations in Saudi Arabia and abroad.


SaraSara Essam AlMuhaidib

Sara is the operations manager of AlMuhaidib Social Foundation since she led into establishing it in 2014. The main goal of the Foundation was to institutionalize the various social, charity & philanthropic initiatives of the Group. The Foundation’s focus today has expanded into child development initiatives with special focus for children with disabilities. She started her career as a banker with SABB focusing on Corporate Banking in Saudi Arabia, then relocated to the HSBC regional headquarters in Dubai as a corporate banking manager working with clients in mid-market segment.
In addition, Sara is a member of Sharqiyah’s Business Women Executive Council, a member of Eastern province municipality friends and Tamkeen foundation.
Sara earned her marketing bachelor’s degree in 2007 from King Faisal University.


sallyDr.Sally Alturki

 Dr Sally Alturki has spent the past 50 years working on various projects for the development of education– 46 of those years in Saudi Arabia. She and her husband, Khalid Alturki, established in 1977 and continue to lead Dhahran Ahliyya Schools (DAS) , a nonprofit preK-12 dual language school with separate sections for girls and boys. DAS is a founding member of TAMAM and committed to its pillars. Equally valuable among their projects is Dar Alkitab Atterbawi, a not-for-profit project which they established to publish current books in Arabic that support development of education in the Arab world. They are also commited to Arabi21, for enhancement of the teaching of Arabic. Previously, Dr Sally also founded a pre-school teacher preparation center. Dr Alturki has served on many international advisory boards including for AUB, the King Abdullah Project for Development of Public Education (Tatweer), the Harvard Graduate School of Education and others.                                         







abdulalla2Abdulla Mohammed AI Zamil

Abdulla M. AI Zamil is a member of the Board of Directors of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (Zamil Industrial). He was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zamil Industrial in October 2009. He acted as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Zamil Industrial since January 2004. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Zamil Air Conditioners and Zamillndustrial's Shared Services. He began his professional career in 1987 with Zamil Air Conditioners as an Industrial Engineer and subsequently Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Purchasing & Materials Management.

badrBader AlAbdulKarim

Mr. Bader AlAbdulKarim graduated from DAS back in 1997 then he joined KFUPM and pursued his bachelor degree of industrial management in 2002 as well as that he pursued his executive master of business administration from Hult school in 2016. Mr. Bader is the Investment Director & Board Member, of Al-AbdulKarim Holding (AKH Holding), the AKH which is one of the largest importers and distributors of electrical materials in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since its formation in 1973. This role was a success of roles Mr. Bader accomplished through his career, he first started as a material controller in AKH warehouse.
(Social and Charity field) Mr. Bader is a Board Member at Asharqia Chamber 2018-2022 and since 2003 he is Member of Trade Committee at Asharqia Chamber he is also a board member at Saudi food bank.

 Lamis Abdo

Lamis Abdo , CEO of Lamis Abdo Designs, is an artist and unconventional  jewelry designer, dedicated to discovery, adventure and exploration into the world of mediums and colors. She developed a unique Line which she incorporates into her artwork and exclusive jewelry to channel the inspiration of words and its in depth understanding. Her twenty-year journey amassed an experience in ceramics, glass fusing, digital design, and gemstones.Lamis is also a researcher, a bilingual biographer, and an avid volunteer in her community.



nabeelDr.Nabeel M. Al-Amudi

Nabeel Mohamed Al-Amudi is the President of the Saudi Port Authority having been appointed by Royal Order on January 31, 2015 to the rank of 'Excellency'. As President of Saudi Port Authority, Nabeel overseas the management and regulation of nine ports across the Kingdom. He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of United Arab Shipping Company – the 12th largest container shipping liner in the world and the Chairman of Tabadul – a government owned company tasked with digitizing the import and export processes in the Kingdom.
