Benjamin is the Manager for Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools (SAES) where he is committed to building cultures of belonging, creativity, and deep learning in support of helping students, staff, and families flourish.
With over 30 years of experience in education and 24 years with SAES, Benjamin has worked in a range of roles including classroom teacher, technology coordinator, associate superintendent for teaching and learning, and, since 2023, has served as the head of school in SAES. In these roles, he has fostered curiosity, supported high academic achievement, and implemented innovations to improve the student experience.
Benjamin’s leadership focuses on systems thinking and culture building through transparency, trust, and collaborative innovation, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged in driving sustainable success. Throughout his career, Benjamin has worked to match strategic thinking with pragmatically aligned actions, systems, and resources to deliver on strategic goals. Under Benjamin’s leadership, SAES has launched several key initiatives including a 1:1 laptop initiative, digital transformation, and the implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan that focuses on whole-child development.
Benjamin’s family has deep roots in Saudi Arabia. Benjamin grew up as a student in SAES when his father worked for Saudi Aramco. In 2000, Benjamin returned to Saudi Arabia with his wife, Crystal, and both of his children were born in the Kingdom. When not in Saudi Arabia, Benjamin and his family make their home in the forests of Northern Wisconsin, USA.
Benjamin holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics Education and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Technology.
