Sultan S. Albarakati is the Executive Director of KAUST Academy at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and serves as the Team Leader for the Saudi National Team for Mathematics.

With over a decade of leadership experience in education, Sultan has been instrumental in advancing STEM initiatives and enhancing human capacity across Saudi Arabia.

Sultan has overseen the launch of KAUST Academy’s University Specialization Programs in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, and Cybersecurity, equipping students with the skills to thrive in a global high-tech landscape. Additionally, he leads the KAUST Gifted Student Program (KGSP) and the Saudi Research Science Institute (SRSI), nurturing the Kingdom's brightest minds and preparing them for success at top international universities.

His contributions to education have been widely recognized, including a Certificate of Appreciation from the Minister of Education for his impact on STEM education and the Employee of the Year award at the Royal Commission-Yanbu. Sultan’s dedication to shaping the future of education continues to drive innovation and equip Saudi students with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving global landscape.
