Mr. Khalid Ali Alturki is the Founder and Chairman of Khalid Ali Alturki & Sons (Alturki) which is a leading family owned investment and development company that was established in Saudi Arabia in 1975. Its subsidiaries and joint venture companies are involved in contracting,
trading, manufacturing, and consulting focused specifically on the construction & infrastructure, building materials, real-estate, oil field services & renewable energy, environmental, information and telecommunication technologies, and general industrial sectors primarily in Saudi Arabia and neighboring Arab countries. Mr. Alturki also invests globally through his offices in the UK and India.
In addition, Mr. Alturki is a member of the International Board of Advisors on the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, a founding shareholder and former Director of SAMBA (formerly Saudi-American Bank), a former Chairman of Arab Banking Corporation International Bank (ABCIB) in London and a former member of the Board of The Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu in Saudi Arabia.
Although Mr. Alturki has become recognized on the world stage as a leading financier and businessman, his true passion is education and human development. To this end, he has devoted his time in a plethora of initiatives in this field. Along with his wife, Dr. Sally B. Alturki, he founded the Dhahran Ahliyyah Schools, a non-profit educational organization, serving over 1700 Saudi and other Arab boys and girls in Saudi Arabia from kindergarten through high school. Mr. and Mrs. Alturki act as President and Vice President of the School respectively, in addition, he is a former Chairman of the Advisory Council at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, U.S.A, a former trustee and current member of the Board of Overseers at Middlebury College in Vermont U.S.A., a member of the Board of Trustees at the International College in Beirut, a member of the Board of Trustees at The Arab Open University, a founding member of the Arab Thought Foundation in Beirut, a member of the Board at Tatweer Holding for the implementation of King Abdullah’s Program for Development of Education in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and a member of the Board at the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research.
Mr. Alturki holds a B.A. and M.A. in International Relations form the American University, Washington D.C. as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Stanford University, California, U.S.A
